Jon B. Gandelot and Lisa Mower Gandelot were both born and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and have remained there since their marriage in 1969. Mr. Gandelot’s passion for the University of Michigan extends from the football team to the Health System. His love for Michigan Football began when he entered U-M as a freshman in 1962. He graduated in 1966 with a degree in economics and attended Wayne State University Law School, where he graduated in 1969 with a J.D. Mrs. Gandelot graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in 1967, but always supports U-M (unless they are playing MSU).
Mr. Gandelot is an estate and charitable planner with an office in Grosse Pointe, where he is principal of his three-attorney firm. Mrs. Gandelot retired from the Michigan Women’s Foundation, a statewide organization where she served as director of development. She donates her time to smaller non-profits in the area of development, and serves as a mentor to young development talent. She is deeply engaged in her community, continuing to fundraise for various non-profits. They enjoy spending time at their cottage on Lake Charlevoix in northern Michigan.
